Penned by Diablo Cody, the film’s story revolves around Juno, a unique 16-year-old girl who when faced with an unplanned pregnancy chooses to keep the baby and find the “perfect” adoptive parents. In the course of facing some tough decisions, she flirts with adulthood and ultimately comes into her own as a witty and independent teenager. A Fox Searchlight Pictures release, “Juno” is produced by Mandate Pictures with John Malkovich’s Mr. Mudd Productions and Reitman’s production company Hard C, which has a first look deal at Fox Searchlight. The film’s producers are Mason Novick (“Red Eye”) and Malkovich’s producing partners at Mr. Mudd, Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith. Mandate’s Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane serve as Executive Producers along with Daniel Dubiecki, Reitman’s partner at Hard C. Jim Miller, who brought the project into Mandate, serves as co- producer.
